Uncle Lou, as he was affectionately called by all who knew him, of Cherry Hill, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2018 at his niece and nephew’s home at the age of 98. Predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Helen (nee Musick), he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families. He was a lifelong resident of Camden County, residing in Cherry Hill for the past 63 years. He was a proud WWII veteran, serving in the Army Air Corps in England during the war. He was a member of VFW Post 2445 in Maple Shade. After the war he became a Public Service/NJ Transit bus driver, working for 36 years out of the Maple Shade garage with ATU Local 880.
Relatives and friends of the family will meet for his viewing and funeral on Saturday morning from 8:30AM to 10:15AM at the BOCCO FUNERAL HOME, 1300 North Kings Hwy., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 11:00AM at Christ The King R.C. Parish, 200 Windsor Ave., Haddonfield, NJ 08033. Interment Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family asks that donations be made in Uncle Lou’s name to Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice, the American Heart Association, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
