Dorothy Ann Escuti, of Voorhees, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the age of 79. Born in Pottsville, PA, in 1944, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Slevinski Kotch. She graduated from Nativity BVM high school in 1962 and moved to Philadelphia where she worked for several firms before marrying James E. Escuti in 1970. They were married for 42 years.
Dorothy lived in Zaire (Africa), Mexico, and the Dominican Republic while raising her family, and then returned to Cherry Hill, NJ, in 1988. After that, she also gave her time and administrative skill to the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House for more than 25 years, and volunteered at several local school libraries.
Dorothy is survived by her son Michael Escuti and daughter-in-law Caroline Escuti of Redmond, WA; son Christopher Escuti of Cherry Hill, NJ; granddaughters Juliana and Miren of Redmond; sister Elizabeth Karger of Bedford, NY. She was predeceased by her twin sister, Diane Kotch McCully.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to her viewing and funeral on Tuesday morning from 10:00AM to 11:00AM in the BOCCO FUNERAL HOME, 1300 North Kings Hwy, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00AM Tuesday morning in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Philly Region, 3925 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
