Michael Anthony Verdi, age 84, of Haddon Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2021. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Diane (nee Gerardi). He was the loving father of Dina Dougherty (Paul), and the very proud grandfather of Ryan, Cara, and Maren. Brother to his late siblings Vinnie, Agnes, John, and Carmen, and loving Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Michael was born in Southwest Philadelphia to Michael and Maria Verdi (nee Lombardi) and attended John Bartram High School. A long time resident of Haddon Township, NJ, Michael was active in his community, serving confidently as an elected Camden County Democratic Committeeperson. Michael worked for the County of Camden, then retired from Aramark. Immensely proud of his Italian heritage, Michael was a lover of Opera, Italian history, his garden, and especially cooking Italian food. Michael's greatest love was his family and the traditions they shared.
Relatives and friends of the family will meet for his visitation and funeral on Saturday morning from 9:30am to 10:45am and Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00am Saturday all at St. Vincent Pallotti R.C.
