Tao Minh Truong

Tao Minh Truong, on April 29, 2022 age 45 of Sickerville, NJ.

Tao was the beloved son of Hue Truong and Roi Nguyen. He is survived by his siblings: sister HaTrang Truong (Jones), brother Tam Truong (Lan Anh), brother Toan Truong (Malyna), sister Ha Ly Flatley (James) and his nieces and nephews: Thanh, Joyce, Albert, Elaine, Betsy, Destiny, Asien, Alyna, Jude and Liam.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Tuan Truong.

Tao was born in Nha Trang, Vietnam in 1977 to Hue Truong and Roi Nguyen.

He left Vietnam with his father Hue and brother, Tuan in 1984. They left together and fled to the Philippines. His siblings, Hatrang, Tam, Toan and Ha Ly were left behind in Vietnam along with his mother, Roi Nguyen. In the Philippines, our prayers were answered when the Alliance Church, in Cherry Hill, sponsored them and a member family hosted them in their home until they could settle into their own. By the church’s sponsoring, our family was strengthened and enabled to plan for a successful future.

In 1991, his mother, Roi along with his siblings, Hatrang, Tam, Toan, and Ha Ly were able to reunite 7 years after. This is the greatest joy anyone could be a part of.

With the help of the church, Tao was able to thrive in America and was able to graduate grade school, high school and some college. 

Tao was a free-spirited true gentleman who loved and cherished his family. He also enjoyed spending time with his parents, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He loved being outdoors; biking, being at the beach or even camping, playing baseball and soccer and fishing. He was a talented athlete who was always open to new adventures and experiences. Tao always lived his life to the fullest.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewings on Friday evening from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and on Saturday morning from 10:00am to 12:00-Noon all at the BOCCO FUNERAL HOME, 1300 North Kings Hwy., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.  Funeral Services will be conducted 12:00-Noon Saturday in the funeral home.  Interment to follow at Colestown Cemetery, Cherry Hill.  In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions to charity; charity information will be posted later.
