Thomas Aquinas Frederic Dunner, on May 17, 2021. Beloved son of the late John, Sr. and Elizabeth "Betty" Dunner. Cherished youngest brother of John "Jay" , Jr. (Antoinette "Annette"), Richard (Gregory Palmer), and Debra DiFilipo. Loving uncle of Stephanie DelConte (Nicholas), Michael DiFilipo (Emily Lines), Danielle DiFilipo (Scott Harris), and Nicole DiFilipo. Loving great-uncle of Austin and Aubrey. Predeceased by siblings Frederic, Mary, David, and a little angel. Best buddy to cousin Charlie Cron.
Tom liked working with anything electronic or automotive. He was happiest when surrounded by cables, wires, and circuits, or had his hands coated with engine grease.
His summer afternoons as a youngster and teenager were often spent crabbing out on Barnegat Bay with his best friend in the world, his father. In later years, Tom enjoyed giving slow boat rides to his father, piloting the craft in and around the small bays and shallow inlets of Stoutt's Creek near his cousin Charlie's house.
Tom also enjoyed puttering in the kitchen, often with his mother by his side. He was very proud of his "from scratch" spaghetti sauce and his grilled cheese panini sandwiches. He always looked forward to working as a team with his father and his Uncle Stan, producing casseroles of Polish golabki or pierogi.
Music was also a major part of Tom's life. He was an ardent classic rock fan and would often readily share his musical interests with family and friends.
Following in his father's footsteps, Tom has donated his body for medical research, scientific studies, and organ donation to the Gift Of Life Organization. A funeral will be planned for a later date.
Inurnment will also be held at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Tom's name to The Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) or to a charity of your choice.
