On May 24, 2019 of of Cherry Hill, NJ. Age 77. Beloved husband of  Florica Wetzel (nee Raducanu). Dear father of Christy ( Richard) McGuire, and Georgia Wetzel .  Loving Pop-Pop of Bella.  Dear brother of Joseph Wetzel, Anna Tierney, Ellen Estock   and the late John Wetzel.  George was an Air Force Veteran and a long time employee of Home Depot of Cherry Hill, NJ.

   George was often described as the strong and silent type. He was a one of a kind. His family meant everything to him, especially his granddaughter Bella, who was the light of his life.George started out working in a garage when he was 16. Most of his years were spent as a mechanic, working on cars, trucks, and tools. He was the kind of guy who fix anything.His interests, other than puttering with something in need of repair, were strumming his guitar to write a song and listening to old-time country music.  He was a big fan of NASCAR and the New England Patriots.  He liked tough-guy movies, especially Westerns. Cowboy George, with his Stetson hat and cowboy boots will be greatly missed.

 Relatives and friends of the family will meet for his viewing and funeral on Wednesday morning from 9:30am to 11:00am at The Catholic Community Of Christ Our Light, 402 North Kings Hwy., Cherry Hill, NJ.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM Wednesday.
