It is with profound sadness that the family of Robert J. Massaro, age 69 of Mt. Ephraim, NJ announces his passing peacefully at his home on October 14, 2017 after a long illness. Beloved husband of Monique Massaro (nee Bourque). Dear father of Marlo Massaro (the late Jason Holzman) and Sharline Sausville. Loving grandfather of Mason and Dillon. Dear brother of Marilyn Stika (John) and Gary Massaro (Darlene Warney). Loving step-father to Nannette Taxis, Randy Taxis (deceased) and Brian Taxis (Jaime). Step-Grandfather to Amanda Paciocco, Joey Paciocco, Mark Belfiglio and Ryan Belfiglio, Randy Taxis III, Natalia Taxis, Nikolas Taxis and Alexander Taxis. Step Great-grandfather to Sophia Paciocco and Meadow Taxis.

Robert was a First Class Industrial Maintenance Electrician and enjoyed employment with Ryan Electric, Campbell Soup, Hygrade Meats, Domino Sugar, Bud Company, Georgia Pacific, and Hoeganaes Metal for many years, and most recently Lowe’s in Maple Shade. He lived a good life doing charity work for children planting gardens, going to his Lodge meetings, and visiting his daughters and grandchildren, Mason and Dillon.He was a Free and Accepted Mason of the Mozart Lodge No. 436 in Philadelphia where he was elected Man of the Year in 2005 and 2016. He greatly enjoyed his relationships there and attending meetings.

He and his wife, Monique, traveled to Canada to see Monique’s family annually. They also enjoyed many other trips to different destinations in the United States. Robert was an avid sports and Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Flyers fan. His was a life well lived and he enjoyed what he did. In addition, Robert always kept busy doing gardening, yard work, repairs, and electrical work for family. He really enjoyed people and loved visiting his family and friends and being with others.

Relatives and friends of the family will meet for the visitation and funeral on Thursday morning from 10:00am to 11:30am at the BOCCO FUNERAL HOME, 1300 North Kings Hwy., Cherry Hill, NJ. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday 11:30am in the funeral home. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Autism Speaks (https://www.autismspeaks.org/)
