Beloved Father and Grandfather, Frank Acconey, affectionately known as "Pop" to his grandchildren, died peacefully in his home in Medford, New Jersey on Monday, September 28, 2015, at age 87.

Frank is survived by his Wife, Mary Acconey (nee Mannio); his sister, Jean Stone (nee Acconey); his children, John Acconey, of Medford and Karen Schweighofer, of Moorestown, his daughter-in-law, Carol Acconey, also of Medford; his grandchildren, Christopher, Emmi, and Jenna Acconey, as well as, Kerri, Kayla, Kandace, and Ryan Schweighofer; his great grandchildren, Lily and Wesley Christopher Acconey. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and dear family friends, Al and Sara Giansanti, the Nguyen family, and Katie Kelly. He is preceded in his death by his parents, Laura and John Acconey.

Frank was born on December 17, 1927 in Camden, New Jersey to Laura and John Acconey. He graduated from Camden High School in 1946. He married Mary Acconey, his wife of 63 years on July 28, 1951. After many years in construction, Frank worked his way up from Time-Keeper to President of Edward H. Ellis and Sons, in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. His successful career continued, ultimately retiring as Owner and President of H. John Homan Company, of Collingswood and Indian Mills, New Jersey.

Family and friends remember Frank as a kind, funny, driven man who lived life to the fullest.

Relatives and friends of the family will meet for his viewing and funeral on Wednesday morning from 9:30am to 11:00am at the Bocco Funeral Home, 1300 North Kings Hwy, Cherry Hill, NJ.  Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Wednesday in the funeral home.  Entombment will be private.
