Michael Lachica Rico, passed away with family by his side on July 25, 2026 at the age of 73 of Cherry Hill, NJ, formerly of Sta. Ana, Manila, Philippines. Beloved husband to our mother, the late Consuelo Gonzales Asistio (1971-1988) and our late stepmother, Gerlie Labro (1989-2025).  Dear father of Marvin Rico and Marlon Rico.  Loving grandfather of Alonzo, Kalei, Ailana, Koaand Leila.  Cherished brother of Ismael Rico, Kathleen Rafols, Raquel Aguilar and Methuzael Rico Jr. Predeceased by her parents Methuzael Rico Sr. and Rosario Lachica and sisters Remedios Bernabe and Virginia Ratonel.

Mike Rico was born in The Philippines on 09/26/1952 and emigrated to the US in 1993. He lived most of his life in the US in Elmhurst, NY but also lived in La Puente, CA and Lansing, MI. He retired from working in 2012 and went back to The Philippines. He would spend the next 14 years living between his home country and the US. He loved cooking, gardening,and was an avid fan of movies. He was also a big fan of the New York Knicks and the Yankees. He enjoyed long road trips as well. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12:30 pm Thursday, 7/30/2026 at The Catholic Community of Christ Our Light Church, 402 North Kings Hwy., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Arr. by BOCCO FUNERAL HOME, Cherry Hill.
