Robert W. Shaffer, on December 25, 2015, age 85 of Ocean City, NJ, predeceased by his wife Rosalie Shaffer (nee Veldorale) and his daughters Linn Downs (Yukio Endo) and Fonda Shaffer.  Dear grandfather of Laura Endo.  Uncle of Brady (Rosa Clara) Stroh and Tammy (Douglas) Hassinger. Brother of the late Virginia M. (Max A.) Stroh.  Robert is survived by his wife's sister Fabiola Cherubini, her husband Thomas D. Cherubini MD and son Christopher T. Cherubini Esq.  Also surviving are cousins and caregivers Mark and Cindy Sanchirico, their children Michelle and Mark and numerous relatives, and friends.  Robert was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was proud to serve his country.

Relatives and friends of the family will meet for his visitation and funeral on Wednesday morning, December 30, 2015 from 9:30am to 10:30am at the St. John Lutheran Church, 1001 Central Ave, Ocean City, NJ 08226. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday 10:30am in the Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing, NJ.
