It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Sally, a beloved daughter of South Philly, on September 10, 2026. Born on January 11, 1936, Sally graced this world with her vibrant spirit and insatiable curiosity.
Sally was a dedicated and compassionate professional, who spent many years working as a concierge bookkeeper. Her clients were more than just accounts; they were friends and extensions of her family. Her commitment to going the extra mile for them was a testament to her generosity and unwavering support. Remarkably, Sally continued to work actively up until her passing, a true reflection of her dedication and zest for life.
Her education at Bok High School laid the foundation for a life rich with learning and exploration. Sally's passion for travel led her to work as a tour guide, allowing her to explore much of the world. Her journeys took her to places near and far, with her most recent adventure being a memorable visit to Scotland and England aboard the grand ocean liner Queen Mary 2. Sally's wanderlust was matched by her love for reading and cinema, passions she shared enthusiastically with friends and family.
Sally's boundless energy and warm personality were infectious. She had a unique ability to collect friends wherever she went, much like a snowball gathering momentum and size as it rolls downhill. Her passion, expressiveness, and openness made her a captivating presence in any room. With her enormous heart and genuine smile, Sally had a remarkable gift for making people laugh and smile effortlessly.
She was predeceased by her son Jon, a loss she bore with grace and resilience. Sally leaves behind a loving network of cousins and numerous longtime, loyal friends who cherished her deeply.
Sally's indomitable spirit and the warmth of her presence will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, her laughter echoing in our hearts forever.
