Alfred Michael Medzie passed away peacefully on May 15,2020. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jacqueline Medzie (nee Pilat). Al was the dear son of the late George A. and Helen Medzie (nee Paddock). Loving brother of Catherine Perks (Robert) and Charles Medzie (Donna), and all the late Shirley O’Brien (John), Helen Ott (Terry), James Medzie, and Joseph Medzie. Treasured father and friend to Teresa Haas (George Flunt), Nancy Halloran (William), Kathleen Haas (Christopher), and the late John Haas, Joseph Haas, and Michael Haas. He is also survived by several grandsons and granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews.
Al was proud that he received his GED while serving in the Army at Fort Clayton in the Panama Canal Zone. He was a member of the Lawrence Twp. Fire Company #3 and the Fire Police in Glen Richey PA, where he served as Secretary and President. After moving to Florida, he attended Fort Pierce Community College. Al later moved to New Jersey, where he enjoyed being a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Gibbsboro NJ; he was a 3rd and 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Legion of Mary, and the Holy Name Society, including service as a past president.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Friday morning, November 18th, 2022 from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at St. Simon Stock Parish/OLMC Church, 178 W. White Horse Pike Berlin, NJ 08009 where the funeral Mass will begin at 10:30AM.
