Charlotte M. Cantermen, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at home with her family by her side. Born in Mount Holly, NJ, she made New Jersey her home throughout her life.
Charlotte, or Sherry to many, found deep pride in being a mother and grandmother. She was known for her warm heart, resilience, dependable spirit, and her big smile. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved to dance, explore new places, camp, gather around a fire, spend time at the shore, and make crafts, but her greatest happiness came from memories she created with loved ones.
Predeceased by her parents Kent and Mae Cantermen, she is survived by her 3 sons, Robert Jr. (Erin) Alpaugh of Pine Hall, NC; Ryan Alpaugh of Okatie, SC; and Rodd (Daphne) Alpaugh of Cherry Hill, NJ; 5 grandchildren, Adriannah, Zander, Remington, Zale and Reese; her sister Patricia Houchins of Stratford, NJ; Aunt and Uncle, Phyllis and Anthony Antonelli of Pennsauken, NJ; Uncle Robert Cantermen of Mays Landing, NJ; and a loving circle of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services will be held privately. Please contact the family for details.
