Dominic’s was a life well spent. He served valiantly in the Korean Conflict from February 9, 1951 to February 8, 1955. He received many commendations and medals.
Dominic dedicated his entire career, over 44 years, to law enforcement. He started as a security guard at RCA, then as a patrolman with the Delaware River Port Authority, while simultaneously acting as an officer with the Hi-Nella Police Department. The highlight of his career was when he became Chief of Police. He held this position for 32 years, retiring at the age of 82.
Dominic was also a member of several worthy organizations such as The Chiefs Association, the Hi-Nella Fire Department, the Hi-Nella Planning Board, Moose Lodge 548, and the Knights of Columbus where he reached 4th degree. Dominic was an antique car buff. He treasured the hours he spent working on his cars and visiting car shows where he won awards for his efforts. Dominic enjoyed his time spent at his home at the Jersey shore, where he was a member of the Villas Fishing Club. And most importantly Dominic loved his family and cherished his time spent with them.
