Joseph John Bendinger, passed away on August 2, 2022, age 91 of Haddonfield, NJ. Beloved husband of the late Joan Patrick Bendinger. Dear father of Anne May (William), and Jean Hartman (Bryan). Loving grandfather of 8, Kierstin (Cale) Hays, Christian, Andrew and Juliana May; Audrey, Joanie, Kathleen and Bryan Hartman. Great Grandfather of Gwyneth and Charles Hays. Cherished brother of Virginia Berckman and the late George Bendinger.
Joseph was raised in Haddon Heights where he attended St. Rose of Lima Elementary School, St. Joseph’s Prep followed by, St. Joseph’s University. Following college he served our country in the United States Army.
Joseph was an entrepreneur who along with his brother, George, founded Bendinger Brothers Uniforms. He also manufactured uniforms across multiple industries. It was there where he met Joan Patrick, the love of his life, who he married. He continued to be an industry advisor long after his retirement.
Relatives and friends of the family will meet for his viewing and funeral on Tuesday morning from 9:00am to 10:45am in Christ The King R.C Church, 200 Windsor Ave, Haddonfield, NJ. 08033. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:00am. Entombment Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Cherry Hill.
