It is with a heavy heart that we announce the untimely passing of Maria Julianna Vega, on February 12th, 2025, 54 years young, born October 20th, 1970. In August of 1991, Maria wed her husband, Antonio Vega (57). After struggling to conceive, Maria brought four children into this world; Sarah (32), Samantha (28), Gabriella (26), and Zacharia (14). Maria was a beloved mother and her endless support, guidance and love will continue to live down for generations to come. In January of 2018, Maria became a grandmother for the first time to Vera Leigh Arias (7). Shortly after, In January of 2025, Maria became a grandmother once again; this time to one month old Amaia Angel Ulerio. Maria poured all of her love and energy into being not only a mother, but an amazing grandmother. She loved her grandchildren dearly and spoke of them with the utmost admiration. Maria is not only survived by her husband, children and grandchildren, but also her 6 siblings whom she shared an unconditional bond with- Rose, Jasmine, Joanna, Vivian, Echa, and Peter. She also leaves behind her parents- Patricia Rodriguez and Joe Rodriguez.
In addition to being an inspirational part of her family's lives; Maria was also a beloved friend and colleague to many. Maria obtained a college education from Katherine Gibbs College with a focus on business administration. Maria was a phlebotomist and manager of the blood drawing room at Methodist Hospital located in NYC, where she dedicated 20 years of her life to the field. Maria was a faithful Catholic and spent the majority of her free time giving grace to the Lord. She enjoyed listening to Gospel music and praising the Lord who she acknowledged as her Saviour. Maria lived in the glory of the Lord and passed her faith down to all she encountered. Her love was endless and it is with no doubt that she has found peace in the heavens.
Maria also enjoyed cooking for her family and maintaining a clean and clear space for everyone to live comfortably. She loved to shop and spent much time browsing through Coach and Michael Kors catalogs. Maria always presented herself with much dignity and grace. Maria was truly an angelic soul. Her contributions to the life she leaves behind will continue to flourish. Her love is timeless and her memory will live on forever. To know Maria was to love Maria. As the Bible reads in John 11:25-26; “Jesus told her, I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never die”. Amen.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Monday morning, February 17th from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at the BOCCO FUNERAL HOME, 1300 North Kings Hwy., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Funeral services will be celebrated at 1:00PM Monday afternoon in the funeral home. Interment Colestown Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
