Nicky was born in Camden, NJ, and was predeceased by his beloved wife Judy. He was affectionately called Uncle Podge and Nicky two times by all those that knew him. He was a talented builder who could always be counted on to take on the next project, no matter how big or small. His hands-on approach to life was a testament to his character—steadfast, dedicated, and always looking for ways to help someone in need.
Nicky found his greatest joy on the water. He loved fishing and crabbing, often spending hours out there with his son and family. His stories were endless, each one paired with a unique nickname for everyone he met, making him a one-of-a-kind presence in the lives of those who knew him.
Nicky will be remembered for his infectious spirit, generosity, dance moves and love for those closest to him. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Relatives and friends of the family will meet for his viewings on Wednesday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Thursday morning from 9:30am to 10:30am in the BOCCO FUNERAL HOME 1300 North Kings Hwy. Cherry Hill NJ. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am Thursday at Holy Eucharist R.C. Church, 344 Kresson Rd., Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions to Jersey Coast Anglers Association (www.JCAA.org), P.O. Box 1191, Wall Branch Office, Wall, NJ 07719. The JCAA is a non-profit that unites sportfishing clubs to advocate for anglers' rights, promote conservation and education, and support sustainable fisheries and clean waters.
