Patricia L. Williams

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia L. Williams (Preston) on December 31, 2025 at the age of 77.  Patricia was born on February 14, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA., to the late James Able and Lucretia Shorter. In 1995 she moved to Pine Hill, NJ., where she made a home and continued to work for the National Weather Service. Upon retirement after 25 years of service, Patricia loved going to Atlantic City and winning big on the slots. She loved to dance and sing, especially to her favorite singer Patti Labelle. 

Patricia was a beloved and devoted mother to William Bennett 3rd (wife Regina) and Wanda Bennett, and a later cherished grandmother and great grandmother to Renee Bennett-Hester, Shantell Walker, Renita Bennett and Shaneen Adams (husband Justin) and great grandchildren, Isaiah, Jordyn, Gabby, Jaden, Parker and Aslan. 

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents James Able and Lucretia Shorter, as well as her siblings Melvona Moody, Barbara Crawly and James Preston. Patricia is survived by her sister Louise Parson, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Patricia will be remembered for her strength, warmth and the love she had for her family. She carried herself with grace, resilience and kindness but she didn’t take no nonsense. She always left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Patricia was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose vibrant personality, kind heart and big smile brought light to every room she entered. Her memory will continue to live on through the lives she shaped and the love she shared. 

Family and friends are invited to the visitation from 11:00am to 12:00-Noon followed by her Memorial Service at 12:00-Noon on Thursday, January 8th all at the BOCCO FUNERAL HOME, 1300 North Kings Hwy., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a memorial contribution in Patricia’s name to The Alzheimer’s Assoc. www.alz.org
