Paul L. Loftness, Jr. on July 3, 2025 age 99 of Haddonfield, NJ, formerly of Fanwood, NJ and Mount Laurel, NJ. Beloved husband of the late Ruth S. Loftness (nee Schumacher). Dear father of John (Nancy) Loftness, Richard (Diane) Loftness and Carolyn (Bill) Strasle. Loving grandfather of Sarah (Marcelo) Del Castillo, Jessica (Mike) Somerville, Christopher (Ally) Loftness, Mark (Maggie) Strasle, Dan (MacKenzie) Strasle, Anna (David) Christensen, Kathryn Strasle, Paul (Holly) Loftness and Timothy Loftness; and great-grandfather of 17.
Paul was born and raised in Maplewood, NJ. He was drafted into the US Navy right after graduating High School and served during World War II from 1944-1946. He was a Petty Officer First Class Radarman on the USS Landing Ship Medium 351 in the South Pacific.
Paul worked as a Senior Tax Accountant for the Bristol-Myers corporation in New York City for 31 years. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Westfield, NJ for over 40 years where he served as an Elder, Sunday school teacher, and usher. After moving to Mt. Laurel he became a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Moorestown, NJ
Paul was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather all his life. He will be deeply missed by all those whom he loved so dearly.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to his viewing and funeral on Thursday morning, July 10th from 10:00AM to 11:00AM in the BOCCO FUNERAL HOME, 1300 North Kings Hwy., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00AM Thursday in the funeral home. Interment Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Paul’s memory to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 318 Chester Avenue, Moorestown, NJ 08057.
