Salvatore A. Colangelo, on November 21, 2023 age 95, of Cherry Hill, NJ. Beloved husband of the late Nancy A. (nee Racobaldo). Dear father of Lucy (Jim Dych) Colangelo-Dych and Salvatore J. (Kimberly) Colangelo. Loving grandfather of Katerina (Samuel) Brough, Adam Dych, Salvatore (Nicole Pancari) Colangelo and Nicholas Colangelo; great-grandfather of Thomas, Ellie and McKenna. Cherished brother of Carmela (the late Frank) Narciso and Irene (Louis) Monoyios. Predeceased by his siblings Rose, Francesca, Dominic, Leonard, Elizabeth and Joseph.
A lifelong musician Sal lead a simple and quiet life. He enjoyed his walks and exercising. He meditated daily and gardened when the weather allowed. He enjoyed keeping up with current events as well as the time he spent with his family. During the Korean War, Sal served as a USO entertainer for the troops. Upon his return from his tour he worked as a Career Musician and played many musical venues in the surrounding area. At age 40 he began his second career and retired after 25 years of service as a New Jersey State Title Examiner. His pre-deceased wife Nancy was the love of his life and they dedicated their lives to their precious family!
Relatives and friends of the family will meet for his viewing and funeral on Saturday morning, December 2nd from 9:45AM to 10:45AM all at the BOCCO FUNERAL HOME, 1300 North Kings Hwy., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Funeral Services will be celebrated at 10:45am Saturday morning in the funeral home. Interment Harleigh Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
