Stephen T. Tymchy, on March 26, 2026 age 75, of Philadephia and Cherry Hill, NJ passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Beloved husband of Susan Tymchy (nee Schmidt). Dear father of Jillian (Trey) Buehler and Holly Tymchy. Loving grandfather of Savannah, Riley and Josephine. Cherished brother of Dolores (Tommy) Micek, the late John (Surviving spouse Pat) Tymchy, and brother-in-law to Linda Schmidt. Dear uncle of Stephen (Meg) Micek and Genna (J.J.) Outlaw, and great uncle to Cali, Emmi, Tripp, Naevy, and Laine.
His goofy smile, silly jokes, and funny stories of growing up will be missed by everyone. His charasmatic personality was that he could strike up a conversation with anyone, tell them how "I grew up with them guys..." even if you had no idea who he was talking about, he made you feel like you've known him for years. He was married to Sue for over 51 years, and told her everyday how much he loved her. They tried for close to 10 years to have a baby and welcomed 2 daughters within almost a year of each other, of whom were his pride and joy, and their biggest fan, and most recently his grandkids' fan. He loved spending his younger days swimming at Wilson's Lake, playing and coaching baseball, skiing and Pocono trips with his friends, and later, cooking crabs for all of us, going to the beach, vacationing with his sister and brother-in-law, teasing his grandkids and great nieces and nephew, finally getting a son (in-law) instead of being surrounded by "skirts", having lunch with the Weikel Street gang, and catching up with all of his cousins at the Joyce Family Reunions. He worked at United Vending for 35 years until it closed, in real estate for 20+ years, started his own CO business, and most recently loved being a driver for Volvo. He touched so many people and will always be remembered as the fun guy.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation and funeral service on Friday morning, April 3rd from 9:30AM to 10:45AM at the BOCCO FUNERAL HOME, 1300 North Kings Hwy., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00am Friday in the funeral home. His family requests to wear something that represents him (his favorite colors army green or blue, Phillies gear, Irish attire, or a Canadian tuxedo, etc) in lieu of black to visitation and service. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions in Stephen’s memory to the Vietnam Veterans of America (www.vva.org/donate/).
