Teresa Marchionne Obituary

(nee D’Amelio) Teresa Marchionne, on March 30, 2024 age 92, of Audubon, NJ.  Beloved wife of the late Antonio J. Marchionne. Dear mother of Kathleen (Paul) Grim, Barbara (Mark) Boyarsky, and Anthony (the late Lisa) Marchionne.  Loving grandmother of Melissa (Ken) Falkowski, Tara Parvey, Jaime Boyarsky, Nina Marchionne, and Adam Marchionne; great-grandmother of Morgan, Madison, Abe, Henry and Kenny.

Terri was born in Camden, NJ and grew up the youngest of 6 children.  She graduated from Camden High School and worked as a office worker for Auto Ignition.  She met the love of her life, Tony Beans, and they were married in 1957.  After initially living with her parents in Camden, they settled in Collingswood.  Terri left her job after marriage, and became a stay-at-home mother to Kate, Barb, and Tony.

Once the kids were in elementary school, Terri went back to work as a secretary for the New Jersey Rivet Company.  She worked full-time until she left NJ Rivet in the mid-Nineties.  She then worked part-time at various jobs such as a law firm and school uniform store until she retired completely in the early 2000’s.

She and Tony loved traveling and partying with family and friends.  They took multiple trips to Hawaii, Las Vegas, Mexico, and other destinations.  There were numerous family barbecues throughout the years and multiple dinners and trips with their couples’ club, the Dirty Dozen!

During her working years, she also had to deal with the illness and death of her husband to early onset Alzheimer’s Disease.  She handled the situation with strength and grace, always being the rock for the rest of the family.  Her heart being broken, she never remarried.

After retiring, she moved to a townhouse in Audubon.  She lived there by herself for more than 20 years, cooking her own meals and climbing the stairs to her 2nd floor bedroom every day.  Early in retirement, she enjoyed taking day trips with various Senior clubs, especially taking trips to Atlantic City.  As she got older and her eyesight deteriorated, she stayed at home more, enjoying game shows and her beloved Phillies!  Fortunately, her health was strong enough to allow her to make her famous escarole soup earlier this year, which the family enjoyed posthumously on Easter.

Relatives and friends of the family will meet for her viewing and funeral on Friday morning from 9:45am to 11:15am and Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30am Friday all at St. Vincent Pallotti R.C. Church/St. Joseph The Worker Parish, 901 Hopkins Rd, Haddon Twp., NJ 08033.  Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter.  Arr. by BOCCO FUNERAL HOME of Cherry Hill.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
