William Frank Olszewski

William Frank Olszewski of Cherry Hill, NJ, passed away on December 3, 2024, at the age of 90.  Beloved father of John (Kathy) Olszewski, Nancy (Thomas) Loperfido and Joseph Olszewski.  Loving grandfather of Santo Loperfido, Sandra Olszewski, Giovanni Loperfido, Jason Olszewski, Isabella Loperfido and Sophia Loperfido.  Dear brother of Richard (the late Marion) Olszewski. Cherished uncle of Kenny Olszewski, Jennifer Fonseca and the late Robert Olszewski.

 William was born in Reading, PA on February 11th, 1934. He was a scholar and an athlete throughout High School and College with a love for Basketball and Track & Field.  He was Berks County Discus Champion and played an integral role on the Basketball Team.

In 1956, William earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers University with High Honors.  After earning his PhD from Temple University in 1962, William became a Chemistry Professor at Rutgers University.  William then changed fields and became a loyal employee at Mobil Oil in the Research and Development Laboratory for 37 years, where his research led to many Patent Awards.  But his true passion was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Family and friends will find great comfort in the memories of William’s sense of humor, kindness, and generosity.  He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

Please join relatives and friends of the family for his viewing and funeral on Tuesday morning, December 10th from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at The Catholic Community of Christ Our Light Church, 402 North Kings Hwy., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.   Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00am   Tuesday. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing, NJ.  Arr. by the BOCCO FUNERAL HOME, Cherry Hill.
