Prayers are offered up for the Fox family. John always brought a exuberance of light and smiles whenever he walked into a room. May our Lord hold John in His loving embrace.

I am heartbroken for you Margaret, and Mary, and John, and Joe at the death of your Dad ...my cousin and hero, John Fox. As a young boy visiting my Hackett family on Cedar Avenue in West Philadelphia, I remember being reminded often by PopPop and Gram, Isabel and Andy of just how proud we were of John, .....the Midshipman at Annapolis, the newly commissioned officer at sea. John gave me a framed black 'n white photo of "his submarine," the USS Sablefish. He even autographed it for me. I was ready to follow in his footsteps and serve my country.
